We are always really pleased to hear from anyone who has a genuine antique or vintage piece which they may wish to sell us. 

If you explore our website you will quickly get a sense of the sort of things we are on the lookout for.  Within our particular niche, we’re very open minded about what we might buy, but the more unusual or quirky the better! Smallish pieces that are not only attractive but can still serve a useful purpose in the 21st Century home or garden are especially appealing. To quote the great William Morris (1834-1896): “Have nothing in your houses that you don’t know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”  Anything with a great patination and/or lovely original paintwork we love!  

So, if you have an item that you think we might like, please simply drop us a quick email or text and include

• Some photos of the piece from various angles highlighting any damage or areas which might need sympathetic repair – this won’t necessarily put us off so please be honest!

• A short summary of the item to include what you think are its special features, dimensions and any relevant provenance or history known to you

• Where the item is located (postcode)

• Your contact details if you would prefer to speak to us in person

• If possible, some idea of the sort of price you are hoping to achieve for your item – our Blog on pricing antique samplers will hopefully give an idea of the sort of factors to think about here

If the item looks like it might be a great addition to our stock, we will get in touch with you to discuss it further and potentially arrange to see it or ask for more details/images. Should the piece be something which we feel is not quite right for us, we will always let you know – our storage space is very limited so please don’t be offended if we do have to ‘pass’ on any particular item: we see many lovely pieces which we’d love to buy if space was not an issue.
