Circa 1880 & depicting various 19th century yachts in full sail.  A race, this is a dynamic, vibrantly worked, well observed atmospheric painting. Interesting sea colours & Turneresque buoy! Signed “Hilton” & in its original gilt frame. Authentic period backing board & eyes. Replacement hanging string. Very minor minute marks to canvas & frame, but superb overall condition.
