Circa 1730 & worn in the hair, this is a stunning embroidered example comprising trailing roses & a bunch of grapes. Intricately worked on a black fabric ground, the piece is in excellent overall condition with minimal loss to the thread & lovely colour retention presenting today as a range of pastel reds, pinks & blues. It has been re-framed within an 18th century gilded period frame mounted on a contrasting herringbone navy wool backing.
