A super naïve folk art piece comprising the hull of a small boat. Named ‘Magrix’ the boat no longer has its mast and associated rigging. However, many other original features remain including the understated and timeworn blue paintwork. Considered circa mid-19th century as evidenced by the newspaper covering to the base which makes reference to the ‘Royalty Theatre’ which opened in 1840 and was re-named the ‘New Royalty Theatre’ in 1861.
