A charming, loosely worked but well observed study of what appears to be a type of the Setter breed of dog. The signature is not clear. Presented within a period ebonised frame which is clearly 19th century & seems original. Curious written detail to the backing which appears to refer to the landscape painter Hendrick Dubbels (1621 - 1707) suggesting the piece may have a continental origin.

Dimensions (W, H & D): 22x28x2 cm

Ref: P1
