Probably circa 1880 this atmospheric & very well executed piece appears to depict six popular breeds of dog: St Bernard, Bulldog, Bloodhound, Doberman, Labrador & Collie? Indistinctly signed “J C Reseduet’ (?) it may be French in origin. Some areas of foxing & watermarking which in our view do not detract. Re-presented within the rustic rosewood veneered period frame in which it was purchased.
