An unusual & very fine needlework stitched in silk on a linen ground. A pair of impressive dogs (Wolfhounds or Deerhounds?) – are within a wooded glade. The larger standing dog (male?) has “MI Everet” initialled on its collar. Superb original condition: no loss to thread or ground & excellent colour retention (see reverse image). Original gilded frame with early imperfect glass.
