In pine, this is an utterly delightful piece. There is a date to the lid which – whilst not wholly clear - appears to be 1917: certainly, the patination of the box supports an age of at least 100 years. Time has conveyed a lovely golden patination to the piece with the lid having a part cross banded appearance. Excellent original condition with some original pencil graffiti to the inside lid. A useful, eye-catching storage option for the 21st century home office?
